Crews search for missing teen who fell from boat on Johns Island


Crews continued the search Sunday for a 17-year-old who fell from a boat in the area of Limehouse Landing.

The Limehouse Boat Landing was closed Saturday night while the search was underway, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.

Multiple agencies responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of a possible drowning, according to Deputy Fire Marshal Rick Anewalt.

Responding agencies include St. Johns Fire Department, St. Andrews Fire Department, Charleston Fire Department, North Charleston Fire Department, the Coast Guard, Charleston County EMS and helicopters.

The call came in at 7:50 p.m., according to Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch said.
