A member of the Harlem Globetrotters will visit kids at the MUSC Children’s Hospital Wednesday.
Globetrotter El Gato Melendez will spend time with children as part of the team’s “Smile Patrol.” The Smile Patrol is the team’s community outreach program.
Melendez will bring laughs, sign autographs and pose for photos.
A spokesperson for the team says the visit is designed to help brighten the day and lift spirits of very special fans who are unable to attend a Globetrotters game.
The Globetrotters will appear Saturday at the North Charleston Coliseum.
