Rain chances pick up to start the new work-week, with showers lingering into Wednesday.
This evening, spotty showers and storms in the mountains will gradually dissipate after sunset with overnight lows dropping into the 50s area-wide.
Tomorrow starts dry, but scattered showers and thunderstorms are a good bet for the afternoon and evening. Locally heavy downpours and possibly some gusty winds could accompany the strongest storms. Showers could linger past sunset as well.
There are some indications a wedge of cooler air could situate itself across the area on Tuesday and Wednesday, but clouds and periodic showers still seem probable…becoming less numerous by Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday will deliver drier and warmer weather before another system arrives for the weekend, increasing rain chances by Saturday evening into Sunday.
